How people feel about St Mary’s
I think it is 6 to 1 ratio in aide help, which is good. There seems to be more turnover in personnel, so there seems to be a problem. But when I run into them, they are very nice and very good. Unity Living Center’s ventilator unit houses one of the most progressive and compassionate respiratory care programs available in Western and Central New York. The unit is staffed 24 hours per day with respiratory therapists who rehabilitate and treat pulmonary disorders.

Facility Tour
My mother is in rehab right now at Wesley Gardens so she can get a little stronger. She’s only been there a week, and I haven’t really had a lot of communication with the therapists or social workers there. I actually have a call into the facility for someone to get back to me regarding her care plan. The staff we’ve spoken to and have had communication with have all been very friendly and helpful. I haven’t had an opportunity to ask my mother about the food, so I don’t know about that.

Rehab/ Transitional Care
They were very deceitful and not forthcoming, and that place was out for nothing more than money. Unfortunately, the people that get paid the least did the best job. I didn’t want to undermine the quality and the care of the overworked worker bees, so to speak, performed. They have moved my Mother around at their discretion. Most of the time the staff have been rude, complaisant, unprofessional to an alarming degree. I have seen absolutely no evidence of their memory care "program".
They bring some day care children once a week to visit, and they all liked that. They do massages in the feet and hands, they do their nails, music, therapy, and others. My sister’s hair hasn’t been washed in months. No amenities, although you’d never know by listening to the telephone message. The rochester building never since nothing like it. The pictures online is not what you see in this place. Everyone that work there should be fired if they don’t care about the people or the up keep of where they work.
